A 6-Month-Old Infant Admitted for Endoscopy With Acute Cardiorespiratory Decompensation
[摘要] A 6-month-old boy with history of small gestational age, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and suspicion of milk protein allergy is referred to the gastroenterology clinic with a 3-week history of intermittent blood-tinged regurgitation. On the day of presentation, his examination is negative for hepatosplenomegaly and he appears hemodynamically intact with normal vital signs. His stool is guaiac positive, and he is sent to the hospital for admission to the pediatric ward with the plan of having a diagnostic endoscopy in the morning.
