Reservations Regarding Lung Cancer Screening Guidelines

[摘要] Four items bearing on the screening recommendations issued by the expert panel¹ in a recent issue of CHEST (April 2018) merit concern: control methodology; magnitude of CT screening overdiagnosis; failure of European trials (using unscreened controls) to reproduce the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) benefit; and immediate and longer term consequences of pulmonary resection.
