[摘要] Figures Professor Pamela B. Davis, MD, PhD For some people, seeing the broader picture seems to come naturally. That is the differentiating quality of Professor Pamela Davis, MD, PhD, that sets her apart from the crowd. She recognized early that science was to be her future, but there was not a singular aspect of science that was the attraction. She attained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in chemistry, summa cum laude no less, to begin a career in science, but a single discipline was not enough. Consequently, she went to Duke University for a PhD in physiology and pharmacology to complement an MD from the same institution, and this at a time before combined MD/PhD programs were offered for prospective physician scientists.
