[摘要] Divisibility is a fundamental concept of number theory and is one of the mainideas that sets it apart from other branches of mathematics. The main approachto divisibility questions is through the arithmetic of remainders, or the theoryof congruences as it is now commonly known. The concept wasrst introducedby Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855) in his Disquisitiones Arithmeticae; this mon-umental work, which appeared in 1801 when Gauss was 24 years old, laid thefoundations of modern number theory.
