Scientific Workflow: Modeling Methods and Management System

[摘要] With the development of network technology and resource virtualization platform such as e-Science, workflow technology has expanded its coverage from business management to scientific computing. It cooperates with scientists from different fields to achieve complex data processing. The workflow model stands as the core of the workflow management system, and its quality directly affects the execution ability of the whole system. Workflow modeling technology has been widely studied, and many kinds of modeling methods have emerged. This paper proposes a modeling method based on spatio-temporal topology which fuses data flow and control flow together, and presents a workflow management architecture.
