Resident physician extended work hours and burnout
[摘要] Resident physicians experience an extraordinary amount of stress and pressure, which over time can take a toll on their mental and physical health, education, and provision of quality healthcare. To help protect patients and resident physicians from preventable harm, in 2003, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in the United States restricted the time that resident physicians could work to 80 hr per week.
