Small hospital closures mean loss of access to care

Whereas services provided by physicians account for a combined 10 percent of health care costs, the U.S. would have a cost crisis even if physicians worked for free. For-profit hospital systems have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders rather than the communities they serve and are considered by many to be controversial.
