Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the small intestine presenting as septic shock in a young woman

[摘要] Abstract Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors are rare soft tissue tumors. The etiology of these lesions is debatable. The clinical presentation is variable according to it`s location and surgical resection remains the principle treatment of choice for these lesions. This type of tumors mainly seen in the children`s lung, however visceral location is a rare presentation. Here, we report a case of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the small intestine presenting as septic shock in a young woman.
