Fast voltammetric assay of water soluble phthalates in bottled and coolers water
[摘要] Detectionofphthalicacidandphthalatesestersisofgrowinginterestduetotheirsignificantuseandpotentialtoxicity.Afast,simpleandhighlysensitiveSquareWaveVoltammetric(SWV)methoddevelopedfordeterminationoftotalwatersolublephthalatesusingaglassycarbonelectrode(GCE)isdemonstratedusingdi-n-butylphthalate(95%)(DBP)asatestexample.Thestudyshowedthat100μmolL−1aqueoussolutionofDBPgivesthebestresponsewith0.05molL−1tetrabutylammoniumbromide(TBAB),atstirringrateof1400rpm,depositiontime,20sandpH4.0±0.1.Theoptimumfrequencyandscanratewas100Hzand0.9Vs−1respectively.Voltammetricresponsewaslinearover3ranges,70–110μmolL−1,20–60μmolL−1and2–10μmolL−1withregressioncoefficientof0.9873,0.9978and0.9935respectivelyandlimitofdetection(LOD),0.47μmolL−1fortotalwatersolublephthalatesinaqueousmedium.ThemethodwassuccessfullyappliedtothedeterminationoftotalphthalatesinwatersamplestakenfromsourcesofwaterstoredinPVCcoolersandplasticbottles...
