A newly developed salicylanilide functionalized Amberlite XAD-16 chelating resin for use in preconcentration and determination of trace metal ions from environmental and biological samples
[摘要] SalicylanilidehasbeenincorporatedintoAmberliteXAD-16throughanazospacer.Characterizationofthesynthesizedresinwasdoneonthebasisofelementalanalyses,infra-redspectralandthermalstudies.Thewaterregainvalueandhydrogenioncapacitywerefoundtobe12.90and6.08mmolg−1respectively.TheoptimumpHvaluesforthemaximumsorptionofanalytewere9.0forCu(II),Co(II),Ni(II),Zn(II),Cr(III),and6.0forCd(II)andPb(II),respectively,withthehalf-loadingtime,t1/2,rangingfrom3.5to11.0min.ThebreakthroughcapacitiesforCu(II),Co(II),Ni(II),Zn(II),Cr(III),Cd(II),andPb(II)werefoundtobe697.91,641.83,629.32,551.38,531.72,249.11and125.36μmolg−1,respectively,withcorrespondingpreconcentrationfactorsof440,380,380,360,280,280and260.Thedetectionlimitswerefoundtobe0.56,0.64,0.65,0.70,0.75,0.88and1.17μgL−1,respectively.Analysisofstandardreferencematerialsandrecoveryexperimentswerecarriedoutforthevalidationofthemethod.Practicalutilityhasbeendemonstratedbysuccessfullydeterminingmetalionsinnaturalwater,mangopulp,leafyvegetablesandfish...
