Cross‐talk between intraepithelial γδ T cells and epithelial cells
[摘要] IntraepithelialγδTcellsplaypivotalrolesinhomeostasis,tissuerepair,inflammation,andprotectionfrommalignancy.Insometissues,γδTcellsaretheonlyresidentTcellpopulation,whereasinothers,theycoexistwithαβTcellsandotherlymphocytepopulations.γδTcellfunctionintheepitheliumrequiresconstantcommunicationbetweencellsintheformofcell‐to‐cellcontactsandcell‐to‐matrixinteractions.Theseinteractionscoordinatewiththetimelyproductionofspecificcytokines,chemokines,growthfactors,andglycosaminoglycans,whichhavespecializedeffectsonneighboringepithelialcells.AntigensthatactivatetheseTcellsarenotwell‐defined,andtheydonotexpressclassiccostimulatoryorcoreceptormolecules.Assuch,anunderstandingofthemechanismsusedbyepithelialγδTcellstomaintainhomeostasisandfacilitatewoundrepairhasnecessitatedtheidentificationofnovelmolecularinteractionsbetweenγδTcellsandtheirneighboringepithelialcells...
