Nuclear magnetic resonance in single crystal lithium fluoride down to 1.5 degrees K
[摘要] It has been proposed that the Li ions in crystalline LiF possess a lattice vibrational spectrum which differs from that of the F ions. With this in mind, the nuclear magnetic resonance absorption properties of LiF have been investigated as a function of temperature. Using a single crystal of high purity the resonances due to LiF and F19 were studied from 300°K to 1.5°K. The line width and the spinlattice relaxation time T1 for both nuclei were measured quantitatively, and the line shapes were observed qualitatively.
