ОСОБЕННОСТИ РЕАКЦИИ НА ВНЕДРЕНИЕ РЕСНИЦ В ПОЛОСТЬ ГЛАЗНОГО ЯБЛОКА ПРИ ПРОНИКАЮЩЕМ РАНЕНИИ

[摘要] Purpose. To show the variations of eye reaction to the eyelashes intrusion into the eye in case of the penetrating ocular injury.Materials and methods. We observed 5 patients with eyelashes intruded into the eye during the penetrating ocular injury using comprehensive clinical ophthalmic and ultrasound scanning examinations.Results. Different localizations of eyelashes intruded into the eye during the penetrating ocular injury are described. A simultaneous intrusion of 5 eyelashes into the eye was observed in one case. Their detection in 4 cases of them was made without any difficulties with the help of biomicroscopy because of the clear refracting media. In one case of eyelash localization in posterior chamber behind the iris its visualization was possible using the ultrasound examination and was verified and confirmed during the operation. Eye reactions to the eyelash presence inside the eye varied from asymptomatic (4 cases) up to iris cyst formation (1 case). Morphological studies of iris cyst showed that its thin wall was covered with a multilayer flat horn epithelium. Cyst content was serous with some flat epithelium cells and corneal masses without inflammation. So, the cyst was formed due to an implantation of skin epithelium. It can be confirmed by the absence of goblet cells of conjunctival epithelium in epithelial layer. Conclusion. Different variations of response reaction to the eyelashes intrusion into the eye in case of penetrating ocular injury is evidence of a necessity of individual approach to the choice of the optimal treatment tactics of such patients.
