Das Motiv der Grosstadt in der Lyrik des Expressionismus, dargestellt an Gedichten von Georg Heym, Georg Trakl, Ernst Stadler und Gerrit Engelke
[摘要] The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the impact of city life and modern technology on the lyrical poets of the expressionistic movement in Germany during the first quarter of the twentieth century. This particular aspect, namely the urban theme, was most noticeable in the expressionistic poetry during the years preceding the first world war. In the poems of Georg Heym, Georg Trakl, Ernst Stadler and Gerrit Engelke one sees how these poets used various aspects of city life in order to illustrate their relation to the environment, the city. There is also a discussion of the relationship between these poets and the Italian Futurists, who in 1909 proclaimed the technological and industrial revolution as the basis for a new literature.
