American Wall: The investigation, evolution, and implementation of an alternative building system

[摘要] In recent years there have been a number of ;;alternative;; building systems introduced to the conventional building market. These ;;alternative;; building systems have been introduced to address such issues as the rising cost and declining quality of lumber, the specialized labor force and additional expense necessary for conventional cmu and brick construction, and the increasing demand for better, faster, more structurally sound and economically built architecture. One such ;;alternative;; building system that has just recently been introduced is the American Wall Building System developed by Ken Kreizinger of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This building system has been developed to address the increased demand for tract housing and small office building construction.Although the American Wall system has been developed for these particular markets with relatively basic detailing, it is my belief that it possesses the capability to evolve beyond its current dialect. Through the investigation of the system's aesthetic, connection, detail and implementation, the American Wall promises to be an economically competitive and effective alternative to the conventional building method.
