The BoPen : a tangible pointer tracked in six degrees of freedom
[摘要] In this thesis, I designed and implemented an optical system for freehand interactions in six degrees of freedom. A single camera captures a pen;;s location and orientation, including roll, tilt, x, y, and z by reading information encoded in a pattern at the infinite focal plane. The pattern design, server-side processing, and application demo software is written in Microsoft C#.NET, while the client-side pattern recognition is integrated into a camera with an on-board DSP and programmed in C. We evaluate a number of prototypes and consider the pen;;s potential as an input device.
