Volumetric Mass Flow Sensor for CPAP
[摘要] The current project involves the design and performance evaluation of different flow sensor technologies. The goal of this project is to quantify the performance of existing flow sensor technology and improve the sensitivity and repeatability of flow sensors used in CPAP and BiPAP devices. In this thesis, different theories of flow measurement are investigated and discussed. A standard testing procedure for flow sensors is then established for determining their overall performance. Using this procedure, tests were conducted on four different mass flow sensors that could potentially be used in a CPAP device. Based on the results of these tests, a comparison is made between each of the flow sensors studied. Finally, the relevance of the experimental results and procedure are ascertained with respect to final product performance and cost.
