Nannofossils and foraminifera from the Salamanca Formation (Paleocene) in Punta Peligro Norte (Chubut, Argentina)

[摘要] An assemblage of nannofossils from the Salamanca Formation is reported for the first time from the Punta Peligro Norte locality in the San Jorge Gulf Basin, Argentina. Several recognized nannofossils have a stratigraphic distribution within the lower Danian. The assemblage of nannofossils and associated foraminifera is here discussed taking into account biostratigraphic and paleoecological aspects.
