Influencia del Kumachi en la pigmentación dentaria en niños de la comunidad indígena de Kavanayén, Municipio Gran Sabana

[摘要] Dental pigmentations may be related to different causes, as one of the most important is eating dark food and smoking. Thence arises the restlessness of the investigation, to appreciate in children of the indigenous community of Kavanayen brown dental pigmentations, being the general objective: Establishing the factors that contribute to dental pigmentations in children between 6 and 10 years old in that community. It is located in a quantitative and descriptive model, like a field investigation and non experimental design. Based on that was applied an inquirí, previous validity and reliability analysis, to the parents or representatives; and an odontogram to the total population of children (finite population), likewise informed consent to the parents and/or representatives. It was determined that Kumachi consumption was high, and oral higiene was deficient; concluding that there is a directly proportional relation between this two factors with de appearance of dental pigmentations.
