Estudio comparativo de la fiabilidad y reproducibilidad en la medición de los tamaños dentarios y las medidas de las Arcadas dentarias entre registros manuales y digitales 3D obtenidos por escaneado intraoral y extraoral
[摘要] Traditionally, orthodontists have made dental measurements on plaster models, but technological advances now allow orthodontists to make these measurements on digital models. The purpose of this study was to compare the reliability and reproducibility of measurements of tooth sizes and dental arches between manual method and 3D digital methods obtained by an intraoral scanner CEREC Omnicam (Sirona Dental Systems) and two extraoral scanners: inEos X5 (Sirona Dental Systems) and Dental Scanner SMART (Open Technologies). A plaster model, an intraoral scan and two digital models with an extraoral scanner were made for each of the 20 subjects. The measures of tooth sizes, intercanina distance and intermolar distance on the digital models were compared with the corresponding plaster models (gold standard). The results were not statistically significant differences between measurements made directly on the plaster models and digital models. Intraclass correlation coefficients both intra- and inter-examiner was high and considered good for the four measurement methods ICC>0.90. It was concluded that measurements on digital models obtained with intraoral and extraoral scanners are reliable and reproducible.
