Gingivitis en pacientes pediatricos respiradores bucales

[摘要] Oral breathing is a very common condition among pediatric dentistry patients and has been associated with gingivitis. In order to determine the prevalence of gingivitis in mouth breathing children, a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional field study was carried out in the Postgraduate area of Pediatric Dentistry of the University of Carabobo in the period 2013 -2015. According to the results obtained, the total number of mouth breathing patients who presented gingivitis were 36 patients with a prevalence of 46.15%. It is concluded that there is a relationship between both pathologies and should expand this type of research.
