[摘要] The use of x-rays in dental practice gives us great help in establishing a diagnosis. It facilitates timely diagnosis of various structural abnormalities, including dental abnormalities such as abnormalities of shape, number, size, eruption problems, developmental anomalies of genetic and environmental origin, as well as cysts, tumors and functional aspects. Objectives: To establish the frequency and types of radiographic findings in pediatric patients of the postgraduate course in Pediatric Dentistry. Material and methods: Digital orthopantomographies of 320 children aged 5 to 14 years were studied in the postgraduate clinic from September 2014 to May 2016. To obtain the prevalence data, the Microsoft Exel program was used. Results: 34% presented some of the 23 different findings found in this population, being the ones with the highest frequency: mesiodens (15.7%), external resorption (11.21%), Impaction (10.5%) and Agenesia (9.77%). In women and men the same number of pathologies were found, in women the pathologies with the highest percentage were impaction, external resorption, dental retention and agenesis. In men were mesiodens, external resorption, dental impaction and taurodontism.
