Relación de la altura maxilar aumentada y la longitud labial disminuida en pacientes con sonrisa gingival

[摘要] OBJECTIVE To establish the relationship of height have an increased jaw and lip length decreased as cephalometric predisposing factor in the presence of gummy smile. MATERIALS AND METHODS 900 cases was evaluated, of which 71 patients were found with gummy smile, plus a comparison group of 71 patients took no gummy smile and measurement of lateral skull radiographs of both groups was performed by measuring the jaw height and labial length according to Ricketts. RESULTS Chi square test and test and logistic regression, where it was found that the increased maxillary height was not a significant variable was performed as it was presented in both groups, while the lip length decreased, was a significant variable appearing only in the group of patients with gummy smile. CONCLUSION The labial length is decreased cephalometric predisposing factor in the presence of gummy smile.
