TREATMENT OF SKIN DISEASES THROUGH MEDICINAL PLANTS IN DIFFERENT REGIONS OF THE WORLD

[摘要] Skin, the largest organ of the human body is a vital component of human health. Skin diseases are numerous and a frequently occurring health problem. Medicinal plants are a rich source of active ingredients and provide a safer and cost effective way to treat skin diseases. This article throws light on the use of medicinal plants in the treatment of skin diseases in different regions of the world. Patents are the richest source of the latest technological information. A review of some patents on herbal products for the treatment of skin diseases is provided that summarizes the recent technical advancements taken place in this area.
