Self‐eating and self‐defense: autophagy controls innate immunity and adaptive immunity

[摘要] Autophagy(macroautophagy;“self‐eating”)isadegradationprocess,inwhichcytoplasmiccontentisengulfedanddegradedbythelysosome.And,immunityisanimportantmechanismofthe“self‐defense”system.Autophagyhaslongbeenrecognizedasastressresponsetonutrientdeprivation.Thiswillprovideenergyandanabolicbuildingblockstomaintaincellularbioenergetichomeostasis.Thus,autophagyplayscriticalrolesinregulatingawidevarietyofpathophysiologicalprocesses,includingtumorigenesis,embryodevelopment,tissueremodeling,andmostrecently,immunity.Thelattershowsthataself‐eating(autophagy)processcouldregulateaself‐defense(immune)system.Inthisreview,wesummarizetherecentfindingsregardingtheregulatoryandmechanisticinsightsoftheautophagypathwayinimmunity...
