Native participation in public policy making and the advancement of native interests in northern Canada: a case study of the Porcupine Caribou Management Board Open Access

[摘要] Masters thesis. Examines two systems of wildlife management, scientific and indigenous. Also examines the third possibility of joint management. Using the Porcupine Caribou Management Board as an example an assessment is made of the ability of native people to participate in public policy making, the ability of native people to advance native interests through membership on the board, and the responsiveness of a board to native concerns.
