Le discours politico-religieux des conservateurs du Canada anglais Open Access
[摘要] In January of 2006, the New Conservative Party of Canada took power in Ottawa and remained in place for a decade. Many observers have remarked that these conservatives carried out a change in direction from both their liberal and conservative predecessors regarding above all the theme of the religious discourse in politics. In light of journalist Marci McDonald’s work on this religious discourse of the conservatives, we have ideologically traced out what I call the interpenetration of the political and the religious, from the birth of modernity until today. As its goal, the research analyzes the nature of conservatism in Canada using a philosophical and academic approach, specifically regarding the thought of great conservative figures such as George Grant and Preston Manning. The study of their thoughts regarding the political religious discourse will shed light on the religious rhetoric of the conservatives under Stephen Harper, as well as the new Canadian ;;religious right” identified by Marci McDonald.
