Quasi-Static Approximation for Numerical Computation of Plasmon Eigenfrequencies in Nanoparticles
[摘要] General physical properties of electrostatic (plasmon) resonances in nanoparticles arepresented. Direct calculation of the resonance values of the permittivity of nanoparticles,and subsequently their resonance frequencies, through a boundary element method is discussed. An efficient numerical approach for the calculation of resonance frequencies ofa spherical nanoparticle is developed and illustrated, which is compared with theoreticalresults. Results of numerical approach for a spherical nanoparticle in free space and on asilicon dioxide substrate are presented and discussed.
