DIRECTIVE (EU) 2018/2001 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources

[摘要] This new directive replaces the renewable energy directive (2009/28/EC) that required the EU to fulfil at least 20% of its total energy needs with renewables by 2020. The directive's objective is to achieve a share of at least 32 % of energy from renewable sources in the Union's gross final consumption of energy by 2030 (Art.3). The target also includes a clause for a possible upwards revision by 2023. This target is binding.
