Scrappage Scheme/Conversion Premium (Prime à la conversion)

[摘要] The goal of this policy is to accelerate the replacement of old and polluting cars by providing incentives to buy cleaner vehicles (new or used) in exchange for scrapping the old ones. The scheme offers from 2,500€, up to 6,000€ for the purchase of a new/used, less polluting vehicle. Are considered EVs, hybrids, diesel and gasoline (<117g CO2/km) vehicles. The amount of the incentive depends on the type of vehicle, but also on the income of the household/individual applying for the scheme. Applicants falling under a threshold of 6,300€ or under a threshold of 13,489€ and living more than 30km away from their workplaces, can cumulate the first subsidy with an ecological bonus (super-prime), for an amount not exceeding 80% of the price of the newly acquired vehicle.
