[摘要] "The new Basic Plan lowers Japan's food self-sufficiency target to a more attainable ratio and establishes a new indicator, “food self-sufficiency potential,” to evaluate latent food production capability. The new Basic Plan also establishes a new policy direction to increase feed rice production and to provide support to leading and professional farmers, with the aim of improving overall domestic farm efficiency."
