PREVER Programme

[摘要] For some years the government has maintained its PREVER Programme (formerly RENOVE) through the Ministry of Science and Technology. The programmes aim is to encourage the replacement of old cars to achieve environmental improvements and better road safety. In accordance with Royal Decree Law 6/1997 of 9 April 1997, the programme applies to automobiles over ten years of age and light industrial vehicles over seven years. It reduces the car registration tax by up to EUR 721 when scrapping of the old vehicle (priority is given to leaded gasoline vehicles) is guaranteed.
