A PENALTY-GALERKIN METHOD FOR SOLVING THE MISCIBLE DISPLACEMENT PROBLEM
[摘要] The implementation of an interior penalty Galerkin procedure is described for the simulation of the areal miscible displacement of one incompressible fluid by another in a horizontal porous medium. The method permits different time steps and discretizations for pressure and concentration, logarithmic leading parts for the pressure in the neighborhoods of wells, and a radial approximation for concentration at early time. An algorithm for simulating self-adaptive mesh refinement utilizing the penalty functions is defined. Numerous experiments are presented.
