Nigeria Digital Economy Diagnostic Report

[摘要] As the biggest economy in Africa withone of the largest youth populations in the world, Nigeriais well-positioned to develop a strong digital economy. Thiswould have a transformational impact on the country. Inorder to reap the benefits, Nigeria needs to focus onaccelerating improvements in five fundamental pillars of adigital economy: digital infrastructure, digital platforms,digital financial services, digital entrepreneurship anddigital skills. The Nigeria Digital Economy Diagnosticreport identifies key challenges and opportunities ofleveraging the digital economy for diversified and sustainedgrowth. It provides an assessment of the state of Nigeria’sdigital economy around the five foundational pillars. Thereport also offers specific, actionable recommendations tothe government and private sector stakeholders to furtherNigeria’s development of each pillar. The report wasproduced in the context of the Digital Economy (DE4A)initiative, an African Union initiative supported by theWorld Bank Group, which aims to digitally connect everyperson, business, and government in Africa by 2030.
