Opportunities to enhance peer review

The conflict? Researchbacking the approach had not been peer reviewed.Peer review is the academic evaluation of scholarshipby others in the same field, aiming to ensure researchis scientifically valid.1 Canadian Family Physician (CFP)’speer review process is outlined on page 628, and manymedical journals follow a similar process. An activity dating back centuries,2 peer review is often considered to bethe criterion standard when validating scientific research.However, it has problems. I have seen them first-hand.
