Chemical-Help Application for Classification and Identification of Stormwater Constituents

[摘要] A computer application called ChemicalHelp was developed to facilitate review of reportsfor the National Highway Runoff Water-QualityData and Methodology Synthesis (NDAMS). Theapplication provides a tool to quickly find a properclassification for any constituent in the NDAMSreview sheets. Chemical Help contents include thename of each water-quality property, constituent,or parameter, the section number within theNDAMS review sheet, the organizational levelswithin a classification hierarchy, the databasenumber, and where appropriate, the chemicalformula, the Chemical Abstract Service number,and a list of synonyms (for the organic chemicals).Therefore, Chemical Help provides informationnecessary to research available reference data forthe water-quality properties and constituents ofpotential interest in stormwater studies. ChemicalHelp is implemented in the Microsoft help-systeminterface. (Computer files for the use anddocumentation of Chemical Help are included onan accompanying diskette.)
