The dual integral equation method in hydromechanical systems
[摘要] Some hydromechanical systems are investigated by applying the dualintegral equation method. In developing this method we suggestfrom elementary appropriate solutions of Laplace's equation, inthe domain under consideration, the introduction of a potentialfunction which provides useful combinations in cylindrical andspherical coordinates systems. Since the mixed boundary conditionsand the form of the potential function are quitegeneral, we obtain integral equations withmth-order Hankel kernels. We then discuss a kind of approximate practicablesolutions. We note also that the method has important applicationsin situations which arise in the determination of the temperaturedistribution in steady-state heat-conduction problems.
