A reversible temperature-induced developmental arrest in Drosophila☆
[摘要] Temperaturesbetween35.5and38°Ccauseareversiblearrestofimaginaldevelopmentofwildtypeandtemperature-sensitiveDrosophilamelanogaster.Atemperature-sensitivemutant,shibire-temperaturesensitive1,whichdevelopsabnormallywhenexposedto29°Cheatpulsesduringvarioussensitiveperiods,failstoproduceitsususalmutantphenotypeswhenexposedtoheatpulsesof35–38°Cduringthesamesensitiveperiods.Theresultsindicatethatdevelopmentalprogressisrequiredforthereversibletemperature-sensitivecellulareffectofshibiretocauseapermanentdevelopmentallesion.
