Interaction of Rickettsiae and Phagocytic Host Cells

[摘要] Purified preparations of yolk sac-grown virulent (Breinl strain) and attenuated (Madrid E strain) Rickettsia prowazeki and the Wilmington strain of Rickettsia mooseri were found to exert a positive chemotactic effect upon migrating human polymorphonuclear leukocytes in an in vitro test system. Normal yolk sac material failed to influence leukocyte migration.
