Tranexamic Acid: Emerging Therapies in Hemoptysis

[摘要] We read the article by Wand et al¹ in a previous issue of CHEST (December 2018). It was a delight to see the role of nebulized tranexamic acid (TA) in patients with hemoptysis. The results in terms of decrease in volume of bleed and need for invasive intervention were promising. In a developing country like India, where the burden of tuberculosis is high and a large number of patients present with hemoptysis, nebulized TA would be a reasonable option to improve mortality and morbidity.
