Deficit de testosterona y estrés en pulmón
[摘要] If the balance between the systems that generate oxidants and antioxidants agents is lost, a condition called oxidative stress appears. Lungs are continuously exposed to oxidants generated both, at the endogenous and exogenous level. Considerable sexual differences in the respiratory physiology as long as in the lung response to environmental agents have been identified.This deprivation would cause significant alterations in the lung, which may be related to alterations in the chemical composition of cell membranes and lung surfactant. These changes may be reversible if androgen is administered after the testosterone deficiency, although the reversibility depends on the time and duration of the subsequent administration of androgens. It is interesting to explore the effect of the oxidative stress induced by the lack of androgens in lung physiology and to seek the possibility of reversing the inflammatory symptoms that it generates.
